Sound guidelines

This page lists all the rules to create sound effects and music for EvolOnline in a consistent way.

File formats

EvolOnline client can play both sound effects, (like a sword hit or the growling of a monster) and background music played when the player access a map.

Follow guidelines below for each specific type:

Sound Effects

  • File format: OGG/Vorbis
  • Bit quality: 16 bit (recommended)
  • Frequency: 44100 Hz
  • Audio Channels: Mono

Background Music

  • File format: OGG/Vorbis
  • Bit quality: 16 bit (recommended)
  • Frequency: 44100 Hz
  • Audio Channels: Stereo
